Naya Ventures Invests in Motivity Labs
Corpus Mobile Labs, a software services firm, has been re-branded as Motivity Labs after a capital infusion from Naya Ventures. Motivity Labs supports rapid development and deployment of end-to-end solutions for enterprises and startups with an emphasis on mobile applications and cloud-based solutions.
Naya Ventures has made an investment in Corpus Mobile Labs, a software services firm that primarily focused on the wireless industry. After a redefinition of corporate strategy accompanied by additions to company leadership and team, the company has been re-branded as Motivity Labs. The Motivity team has extensive experience providing software development services to a diverse set of customers – mobile device manufacturers, wireless network operators, enterprises and ISVs. Newer service offerings have been specifically targeted towards startups as well as marketing and media agencies because of the unique needs and high demand in these areas.
This summer, wireless industry leader and General Partner at Naya Ventures, Dayakar Puskoor, identified a gap in the mobile and cloud-based software services market. “We saw that enterprises and startups, including our own portfolio companies, needed a partner who works quickly, consistently, and without much over-sight…a partner with deep experience across all major mobile and cloud-based platforms, and one which isn’t prohibitively expensive.” Puskoor said. The Naya Ventures investment in Motivity Labs is an effort to tap into this market need.
As a technology partner for Naya Ventures, Motivity Labs is a mobile applications and software development firm that has the capability and experience to help customers achieve their software development goals in the mobile and cloud arenas, as well as with certification and testing. Led by a team of serial entrepreneurs with deep industry networks, the Motivity team is constantly exposed to the latest technologies and trends through engagements with customers such as Microsoft, Good Technology, SinglePoint, ComStar, Exclaim Mobility, Nokia, Samsung, HTC, Blackberry and PBJS.
Prabhakar Reddy, Board Member at Motivity Labs, Inc. said, “The combination of our advisory board’s expertise with our team extension model is a great solution for customers that need to ramp up quickly but have limited time or budget to build their own full time development team.”
As a starting engagement, customers can leverage Motivity’s Porting, Certification and QA Testing offerings. Immediately, customers can extend their technical team with a complementary skill set and accelerate the time to market. While the customer’s core resources focus on customers and bleeding edge features on one platform, the Motivity team can take over the task of porting the application to other major mobile platforms as well as help with QA testing, which results in faster product development efforts and sets the proper stage for future engagements.
